Spanish Teenager Rallies to Victory in Four Sets
Alcaraz Wins Second Successive Wimbledon Title
Carlos Alcaraz successfully defended his Wimbledon title on Sunday, defeating Tommy Paul in four sets, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, 6-2. The victory marks the second consecutive Wimbledon title for the 19-year-old Spaniard, who also won the French Open earlier this year.
Alcaraz faced a tough challenge from Paul, who was the first American man to reach the Wimbledon semifinals since Andy Roddick in 2009. Paul won the first set, but Alcaraz rallied to win the next three sets and claim the title.
With the victory, Alcaraz becomes the youngest player to win multiple Grand Slam titles since Rafael Nadal in 2008. He is also the first player to win Wimbledon and the French Open in the same year since Nadal in 2010.
